Blow Molding
A method of forming hollow parts by inflating a heated plastic preform or a molten plastic parison. The preform or parison is inflated inside of a closed mold causing the plastic to take the shape of the mold cavity. There are three basic types of blow molding; extrusion blow molding, stretch blow molding, and injection stretch blow molding. These processes are used to create many types of containers and products such as milk jugs, soft drink bottles, and fuel tanks.
