Extrusion Blow Molding
A blow molding process where a molten tube of plastic, called a parison, is extruded from a circular die. A cooled metal mold is closed around the parison and compressed air is blown into the parison in order to force the plastic to take the shape of the mold cavity. This process is used to produce hollow parts from small packaging bottles to large fuel tanks.
