This newer material is used in a wide variety of applications including packaging films, lenses, vials, displays, and medical devices. Cyclic olefin copolymers (COC) can provide moisture barriers to blister packs, typically in multilayered combinations with polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), or glycol-modified polyethylene terephthalate (PETg).
